Abstract
The intraosseous lipoma is the rarest benign primary tumor of bone which is usually identified as a incidental finding on radiographs. The most frequent anatomic sites are the metaphysis of long bones, particularly of the lower extremity. Depending on the stages, the lesion shows variable histologic findings. On some cases, the lesion appears to undergo spontaneous regression. If surgical treatment is necessary, simple curettage is sufficient. We experienced intraosseous lipoma of the pelvic bone which was treated by curettage and bone graft. There is no evidence of recurrence at 12 months after surgery.
